fancy a can drink from the shelf that is as cold as the ones refrigerated? (if I didn't rmb wrongly, I think the technology is from Korea)
the newly-invented auto-cool can drink, cools down from room temperature to bout 18 deg Celsius in just 15secs after opening! amazing isn't it.
the person (I forgot his name) mentioned that the can drink contains a special kind of gas which will cool down a can drink upon exposure to air. There's this spiral thinggie which contains the gas (I think). Now shop keepers can look forward to lower electricity bills generated by fridges.
Enjoy a cool beer or drink anywhere, anytime!

Defining Web 3.0
Can you provide another definition for Web3.0 or even Web4.0 ?
I read somewhere, perhaps in the web 2.0 conference in San Francisco recently the following definition that I found interesting:
Web 1.0: You
Web 2.0: We
Web 3.0: Me
So with web 3.0 I think it's no longer about going to your business networking site or our business networking site. It's about creating my own virtual experience or virtual network, built by me, for me, and that is my view of my social universe. And it could very well be different from your view, but that's irrelevant to me.

Enemy Book & Snubster - Getting (Anti-) Social, the Web 2.0 Way
"People are yearning to express the ridiculousness of some of the features of Facebook -- having all these friends that aren't genuine," MIT doctoral student and creator of Enemybook Kevin Matulet told the Globe.Visit Enemy Book
Enemybook lets Facebook users categorize by “Enemybook” as well as view other people’s Enemybooks. Define your enemies, create more enemies, expose your enemies.
Encourages people to undermine and mock online social communities.

Singapore's interactive digital media industry has been given a shot in the arm with the announcement that the sector's R&D Programme Office will fund four interlinked initiatives.
Dr Vivian Balakrishnan said the initiatives aim to create a high-growth and self-sustaining eco-system which will propel Singapore into the forefront of research and development in interactive digital media.
The interactive digital media industry had been identified as a key growth sector for Singapore's economy in the years ahead by the high-powered Research, Innovation and Enterprise Council during its inaugural meeting last year, which was chaired by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Cell Phone Users Experience Phantom Ringing; Suffer From Ringxiety
|
Study suggests individuals rely on mobile phones for mood regulation and maintaining relationships. The majority experience phantom ringing.
A new study found that two thirds of the people surveyed, reported hearing their phone ring or feeling it vibrate when it had not actually rung.
The phenomenon has been termed "ringxiety."
The more frequently a person uses their phone, the more often they reported hearing a phantom ring, the study found.
These participants (67% of the people surveyed) had higher monthly charges, used more minutes, sent more text messages, and showed higher levels of impulsivity. They were also younger. (participants ranged in age from 18 to 86).
The study also shows that some people rely on their mobile phone to regulate moods and maintain social connectedness. Those people who prefer to use their phones for text messaging, rather than talking, evidence higher levels of loneliness, social anxiety, and problem phone use.
Note: This story has been adapted from material provided by Alliant International University.
